Nicklas Backstrom scored a power-play goal in overtime to lift the Capitals over the Flyers 2-1 on Saturday and extend their franchise-record home winning streak to 15 games. Backstrom beat Steve Mason 3:25 into overtime for his 20th goal of the season.

Evgeny Kuznetsov scored twice, Alex Ovechkin had a goal and an assist and the Washington Capitals beat the New Jersey Devils 5-2 on Thursday night to head into the All-Star break with the most points in the NHL.
