Schroder, Millsap pace Hawks past Nets, 110-105

Dennis Schroder scored 31 points, Paul Millsap added 24 and the Atlanta Hawks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 110-105 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Tim Hardaway Jr. finished with 16 points for Atlanta, which had lost six of eight to fall three games behind fourth-place Toronto in the Eastern Conference.

With NBA season winding down, Hawks remain a huge enigma

With a little over a month to go in the regular season, the Hawks are comfortably positioned to reach the playoffs but know they can’t go on like this if they want to make a deep run. Up to now, they’ve been one of the NBA’s biggest enigmas, a group that has shown glimpses of being really, really good ” when they’re not looking really, really bad.

Paul Millsap had a season-high 37 points, including the go-ahead layup with 27 seconds remaining in the fourth overtime, and the Atlanta Hawks overcame Carmelo Anthony’s season-high 45 points to outlast the short-handed New York Knicks 142-139 on Sunday. The Knicks’ first four-overtime game in 66 years lasted almost four hours.

Jamal Crawford finds his stroke in Clippersa victory

ATLANTA >> Jamal Crawford got back on track, scoring eight straight points in the fourth quarter to help the short-handed Clippers pick up an upset win in Atlanta, beating the Hawks, 115-105. Austin Rivers led the Clippers with 27 and Crawford added 19 in what will likely be the final game the team plays before Blake Griffin returns from knee surgery.
