Bogut’s broken leg leaves Cavaliers cracked, incomplete

Just an hour or so after saying how excited he was to be joining one of the league’s deepest teams, Bogut broke his left leg after playing just 58 seconds in his Cleveland debut on Monday night, an injury that could force the Cavs to resume their search for a big man. Bogut had just been welcomed with a roaring ovation by Cleveland’s crowd when his shin banged into the knee of Miami’s Okaro White in the first minute of the second quarter.

Despite rumors of trade talks with Knicks, Kevin Love doesn’t expect Cavaliers to trade him

Despite weeks of rumors that the NBA champions have been in trade talks with the New York Knicks about a deal involving Carmelo Anthony for the All-Star forward, Love said Friday that he expects “to be here for a long time.” Love said he has grown accustomed to having his name in trade speculation and laughed when the rumblings of him landing in New York were mentioned to him following practice.

The Cavaliers have lost three of their last five games and despite a new addition to the team in sharpshooter Kyle Korver, Cleveland hasn’t had enough time to get well acclimated with their new teammate, and it’s costing them. Love played 24 minutes Monday night before exiting the game, scoring 12 points and pulling in 11 rebounds, albeit on 5-of-19 shooting.

James, Love help Cavs end 2016 with 121-109 win over Hornets

LeBron James scored 17 of his 32 points in the first quarter, and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Charlotte Hornets 121-109 on Saturday night. Kevin Love added 28 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland, who played without Kyrie Irving after the point guard injured his right hamstring during Thursday’s 124-118 victory over Boston.
