Two ESPN cameramen and a couple of gaffers – that’s TV lingo for a guy who shines a light in your face – staked out T-Mobile Arena early Saturday evening, waiting for the bus carrying Arizona’s basketball team. The Arizona Wildcats are leaving Las Vegas with the Pac-12 Tournament championship trophy in hand after beating the Oregon Ducks 83-80 on Saturday, and Allonzo Trier will be departing with some additional hardware as he was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Trier scored 23 points on 12 shots and made a few clutch free throws in Arizona’s win over top-seeded Oregon, capping off what was a stellar three-game stretch for the sophomore.

Nevada beats Colorado State 79-71 for Mountain West crown

Jordan Caroline had 23 points and 10 rebounds as Nevada beat Colorado State 79-71 on Saturday in the Mountain West Conference championship game to earn its first NCAA Tournament berth in 11 years. The Wolf Pack claimed the league’s automatic bid for their first trip to the NCAAs since winning the 2006 Western Athletic Conference Tournament.

West Virginia Wins Fifth Straight, 19th Overall NCAA Rifle National Championship

The West Virginia Mountaineer rifle team set a NCAA Championship match score record on their way to becoming a 19-time National Champion, winning the NCAA Rifle National Championship for the fifth straight year. Sophomore and Olympic gold medalist Ginny Thrasher put the Mountaineers over the top when she finished strong, shooting six straight 10s to finish with a score of 595 out of 600.

Michigan State Basketball: Highlights, top performers vs. Minnesota

While Michigan State basketball remains the only team to have made it to Friday of the Big Ten Tournament in each of the 20 years it’s been around, the Spartans didn’t get to advance to the finals for the third straight season.
