Marshall is jumping across town and signing a two-year, $12 million deal with the Giants, according to a source. Many speculated that Marshall could be a fit for the Giants because Big Blue was in need of a red zone threat receiver to pair with Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard and the former Jet certainly fits that bill with his 6-4, 229 pound frame.

Parting ways with cornerstones Nick Mangold, Darrelle Revis and Brandon Marshall have grabbed headlines as the team has created just over $33 million in salary cap space, and there are still plenty of moves that could possibly be made, some more likely than others, that could easily put the team in the $50+ million range.

Darrelle Revis responded Friday night to the warrant issued for his arrest a day earlier, showing up to the Pittsburgh police department to turn himself in to authorities. The Jets’ veteran cornerback was hit with four charges Thursday night – aggravated assault, robbery, terrorist threats and conspiracy – for his involvement in a street fight in Pittsburgh early Sunday morning.

According to a docket sheet filed Thursday night, the 31-year-old Revis is facing two counts of aggravated assault, along with charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and terroristic threats – a misdemeanor – after the incident Sunday at 2:43 a.m. Revis’ attorney, Blaine Jones, said in a statement while the charges were still pending that Revis was “physically assaulted while at that location by a group of at least five people.”

Following the HC & GM search from afar, I can’t help but wonder just how much the wait for Kyle Shanahan is putting us in the back seat with regards to assembling a coaching staff, especially when it comes to the DC position. Obviously, there’s the cautionary tale of the Jets who didn’t want to wait for Dan Quinn and Shanahan and instead grabbed Todd Bowles two years ago.
