Report: Bolts forward Filppula turned down trade to Toronto
Earlier this week, the Maple Leafs and Lightning completed a deal that sent Brian Boyle to Toronto for Byron Froese and a second round draft pick, but according to a report from TVA Sports’ Renaud Lavoie, the trade could have been a lot bigger. Filppula can do that because he has a no-movement clause and a modified no-trade clause that allows him to submit a list of 16 teams he’d be willing to go to.

Lightning’s Erne makes NHL debut
LW Adam Erne learned he was making his NHL debut Tuesday when he reached the locker room before morning skate and say his number included on the board of those who would dress for the game against the Jets. Erne, the Lightning’s second pick in the 2013 draft, was recalled Sunday because of the lower body injury to C Brian Boyle .
