Jones powers No. 4 Maryland to 3rd B1G Championship

Maryland captured its third-consecutive B1G Tournament Championship with its 74-64 win over Purdue Sunday night. Star center Brionna Jones played another excellent game for the Terrapins finishing with a team-high 27 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 assists and 3 steals and being named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

Purdue women fall to No. 3 Maryland 85-70

The Purdue women’s basketball team dropped to 14-8 on the season Thursday night, falling to visiting third-ranked Maryland at Mackey Arena, 85-70. The Terrapins scored 23 second-chance points and scored 46 points in the paint as they remained undefeated in Big Ten play at 10-0 and moved to 22-1 overall on the season.

Purdue women win sixth straight, top Eastern Michigan 77-50

The Purdue women’s basketball team rolled to its sixth straight win Saturday, posting a 77-50 victory over visiting Eastern Michigan at Mackey Arena. The Boilermaker seniors had a big day as Bridget Perry led the team with 19 points, seven rebounds and three steals, while Ashley Morrissette joined the 1,000-career point club at Purdue, becoming the 30th player in program history to hit the mark.
