Predators defenseman P.K. Subban off injured list

The Nashville Predators have activated defenseman P.K. Subban off the injured list and he is expected to play Friday night in Edmonton. Subban has missed 16 games with an upper-body injury and was placed on the injured list Jan. 1. The former Norris Trophy winner has not played since Dec. 15. He said he and his coaches and trainers agreed Friday morning he was ready to return.

Henrik Sedin scores winner for 999th career point as Canucks down Predators 1-0

Henrik Sedin scored the winner in the third period for the 999th point of his NHL career and Ryan Miller made 30 saves as the Vancouver Canucks shut out the Nashville Predators 1-0 on Tuesday night. With the teams playing a tight, close-checking game, Sedin fired a Luca Sbisa rebound off the end boards off Predators goalie Pekka Rinne and in with 7:32 left in regulation for his 10th goal of the season and first in nine games.

Predators get dramatic 2-1 OT win over Canucks

Calle Jarnkrok scored a shorthanded goal with only :01 left in overtime and the Nashville Predators beat Vancouver 2-1 Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena. Mattias Eckholm took a holding penalty with less than two minutes to play to give Vancouver a 4 on 3 advantage to finish the game, but after a Pekka Rinne save Roman Josi led a 2 on 0 breakaway for the game winner past Ryan Miller.

Predators Subban dealing with new injury, feels better daily

P.K. Subban is dealing with something he’s never had before but is seeing daily improvement with the upper-body injury that has kept the Norris Trophy winner out of the Predators’ lineup since Dec. 15. “It’s difficult, but at the same token I’m optimistic,” Subban said Tuesday . “I’ve been pretty lucky my whole career to play in pretty much all the games and just so happens that this is just the way it went for me this time.
