Josh Delaney had 14 points, Chris Galbreath Jr. added 13, and Torry Butler had a career-best 15 rebounds as Sam Houston State finished strong to beat Incarnate Word 72-63 on Saturday night. The win stopped a short two-game losing skid as Sam Houston State fell out of first place in the Southland Conference after losing to Abilene Christian and Lamar.

The odds seem to be in favor of the University of Central Arkansas Bears will finally play at the Farris Center for awhile. Home court has been quite the advantage for the 13 Southland Conference men’s basketball teams so far, as they are a combined 33-103 in road games this season.
