West Virginia Wins Fifth Straight, 19th Overall NCAA Rifle National Championship

The West Virginia Mountaineer rifle team set a NCAA Championship match score record on their way to becoming a 19-time National Champion, winning the NCAA Rifle National Championship for the fifth straight year. Sophomore and Olympic gold medalist Ginny Thrasher put the Mountaineers over the top when she finished strong, shooting six straight 10s to finish with a score of 595 out of 600.

West Virginia drops second straight

In a game that saw many ups and downs, West Virginia found themselves on the losing end of another close game on Saturday evening. The Mountaineers got out to a large lead late in the first half, 38-26, but managed to allow a 10-0 Wildcat run over the last 2:52 to give West Virginia a small, two-point advantage going into the locker room.
