Briarcliff School Mourns Champion Of Special Needs Children

Anne Harmon, a champion of special-needs children, is being mourned by a Briarcliff Manor school that she helped found. Harmon was a parent, staff member, volunteer, supporter and board member at The Clear View School, which was founded half a century ago to provide academic and therapeutic programs to children dealing with mental illnesses and emotional problems.

Alison R. Birmingham, resident of Canton, 85

She was born in Mount Kisco, N.Y., and raised in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. She lived in Norwalk and Weston, Conn., where she raised her children. Mrs. Birmingham attended Vassar College and earned master's degrees in educational media and library science from Fairfield University and the University of South Florida.

Callihan, Wanda Faye

Wanda Faye Callihan MINERVA, N.Y.: Wanda Faye Callihan, 85, of Puddin' Hollow Farm and formerly of Fremont, Ohio and Briarcliff Manor in Westchester County, New York, a well-known community volunteer, businesswoman and Garden Club leader, has passed away on August 30, 2016 at her home. Wanda was born in 1931, the daughter of Walter and Josephine Smith.
