Police in Bronxville were able to track down a motorist from Yonkers after he drove through an intersection and struck a stone wall, causing "extensive damage" to a local building, according to police. At approximately 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, police were dispatched to Alden Place after multiple reports of a vehicle that had been driven straight through the intersection of Kraft and Midland Avenue, striking a stone wall and causing what was described by police as "extensive damage."

Bronxville Track And Field Teams Star At Penn Relays

The Bronxville High School girl's varsity track and field team took their talents to the Penn Relays recently, narrowly breaking a school record as they took center stage at the popular event. At the annual Penn Relays, which brings some of the region's top student-athletes to the University of Pennsylvania for the track meet, members of the 4x400-meter relay team finished second, with a time of 3:56.82, breaking the previous record by .02 seconds.

Evelyn Goodwin Potter, 93, Former SUNY Downstate Medical Center Director

Evelyn Goodwin Potter, who established a Public Affairs department at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 1959 and served as the center's Director of Public Affairs for nearly 2 decades, died on 4/13/17 in Bronxville, NY. She was 93. She died of complications from Alzheimer's Disease, an affliction that her daughter Jill said robbed her of her memory but not her ability to laugh and love.

Bronxville Elementary School Students Get To ‘Meet The Athletes’

Some of Bronxville's best and brightest students helped mentor the next generation recently during the now annual "Meet the Athlete Day" in the school district. Each year, student-athletes from the Bronxville High School team with members of the Bronxville Elementary School to teach the third-grade class the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty and hard work both on and off the field.
