North Salem Therapist Convicted Of Abusing Teen Patients Reports Move

The North Salem counselor who pleaded guilty to inappropriately touching two teenage patients in his Bronxville office in 2014 has reported a move into Yonkers. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Westchester residents regarding 61-year-old Mark Bernardini , a former therapist , who reported a move from Valhalla to a residence on Hudson Street in Yonkers.

Suspicious Repo Agent, Teenage Flasher Top Bronxville Police Blotter

Detectives with the Bronxville Police Department are investigating a suspicious incident where a man attempted to pose as a repossession agent, claiming he was there to take his car off a homeowner's hands for lack of payment. A Lookout Avenue homeowner reported to police shortly after noon on Nov. 22 that an unknown man came to his door claiming to be the repossession agent looking to take his car due to an overdue balance.

Police Bust Two Shoplifters Attempting To Flee In Bronxville

Two alleged shoplifters were caught red-handed by police in Bronxville after attempting to steal from a pair of village shops on successive days. The Running Company on Pondfield Road reported to police that a man had just stolen several items and fled in the direction of Kraft Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21. Police said the suspect was quickly apprehended by officers and identified as 55-year-old Middletown resident Alwarn Hillard, who was still in possession of $530 worth of clothes he had just stolen from the store.

Bronxville Police Investigating Man With Stolen Purse Who Fled Cops

Investigators with the Bronxville Police Department are attempting to identifying a male suspect who was walking with an allegedly stolen woman's purse late at night and proceeded to flee from responding officers approaching him. Officers were dispatched to Locust Lane at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5 after the Police Desk Sergeant observed the suspicious man on village surveillance cameras carrying a woman's purse and wandering through the area.

Bronxville Police Track Down Alleged High-End Clothing Store Shoplifter

Detectives from the Bronxville Police Department tracked down a 24-year-old woman who allegedly stole nearly $1,000 in merchandise from a high-end clothing store. Police were notified of a shoplifter at J. McLaughlin on Wednesday, Nov. 7 when the store manager witnessed Mount Vernon resident Syiesha Jackson walking out of the store with merchandise valued at $948.

Gloversville grad Pettit honored

The SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport & Exercise announced Tuesday that senior Joslen Pettit, a Gloversville graduate and a member of the men's swimming & diving team, was named the athletic program's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending Nov. 5. Pettit was the team's top performer in their 87-72 loss at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville on Saturday, winning the 200-yard butterfly in 2:46.82, while taking second place in the 200-freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle .

Police Identify Suspects In Westchester Verizon Store Armed Robbery

Investigators with the Bronxville Police Department have identified "several individuals" who may have been responsible for an armed robbery of a Verizon location last month. Officers were dispatched to The A Wireless location on Pondfield Road, which is an authorized Verizon Wireless agent, when several suspects, reportedly in possession of knives, entered the location in an attempt to stick it up.
