Fairfield’s Boatright advances to Met Junior semifinals

Boatright, a Fairfield Ludlowe student, advanced to the Met Junior semifinals with a 2 and 1 win over Rowayton resident Connor Belcastro in Wednesday's quarterfinals. Boatright will play James Pak of Palisades Park, N.J., in Thursday's 7:40 a.m. semifinal-round match at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, N.Y. In the other semifinal match, William Celiberti of Ridgewood, N.J., will face Brendan Hansen from Spring Lake, N.J. The championship match will also take place on Thursday.

Parts Of Southern Westchester Experiencing Water Pressure Issues

Some southern Westchester residents and businesses may see little to no water pressure on Tuesday morning as the region experiences service interruptions in certain parts of the area. According to officials, multiple municipalities - including Yonkers, Larchmont, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Eastchester and Bronxville - were all experiencing water pressure issues after a shaft at an upstate water infrastructure that supplies the area was shut down on Tuesday morning.

Deal Falls Through On Larchmont Playhouse

Bronxville resident Michael DiCosimo, a longtime professional focusing on sound in film and theaters, was interested in purchasing the iconic theater -- for about 1.3 million according to lohud.com -- but backed out of the deal due to numerous complications that arose recently. The property is now officially back on the market with a $1.5 million asking price, according to the lohud story.

Larchmont Playhouse May Reopen with New Buyer

There is some hopeful news for local residents who have been fighting to save the Larchmont Playhouse . Elizabeth Bradley, a volunteer for this effort writes in a post to the group's website that a Bronxville man has signed a contract to buy and renovate the theatre, and with help from the community, may complete a renovation: "There are several contingencies - including one that involves Regal Entertainment - so it's not quite a done deal.
