Firefighters got an assist from the Cortlandt Department of Public Works on Thursday afternoon, as they battled a brush fire on Furnace Dock Road in Montrose. At approximately 1:10 p.m., crews from the Croton-on-Hudson were dispatched to Furnace Dock Road, near Cortlandt Street, where there was a reported brush fire.
