After 39 Years, Hartsdale Restaurant Opens Second Location In Dobbs Ferry

Villaggio Italiano Restaurant , a family-owned Italian eatery based in Hartsdale, is -- after 39 years -- opening a second location in Dobbs Ferry on Friday, Feb. 17. And that means free pizza tastings on opening day starting at noon with Owners Danny and Robyn Santiago personally greeting the Dobbs Ferry.community. According to Robyn, the couple chose the area because "it's a great town with a lot of great restaurants and we wanted to be a part of that community."

Schools around the US are finally pushing back their start times – and it’s working

With a population of just over 11,000, Dobbs Ferry, New York is your typical sleepy town, except for one thing: When the first school bell rings, kids actually feel awake. Prior to the 2015-2016 school year, Dobbs Ferry middle schoolers started at 8:15 a.m. and high schoolers at 7:30 a.m. Under the new policy, both schools now start approximately 30 minutes later and end 15 minutes later.

As of Jan. 3, the diner, previously owned by the Livanos Restaurant Group, is now run by Ari Thanos, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
