Central Park Dance to Mark 35th Anniversary This Fall; Lineup Announced

Central Park Dance , Westchester's largest dance center, devoted to artistic excellence in training the aspiring dancer, will mark its 35th anniversary this September season. Opening its original doors in 1982 with just one teacher and a few dozen students, co-founder and Artistic Director Maria Bai offered classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and creative movement in the basement of Dobbs Ferry's Zion Episcopal Church.

Facebook policies questioned after Cleveland slaying video

Facebook's biggest conference of the year was overshadowed by the fatal shooting in Cleveland that was uploaded to the social media giant. At the Tuesday conference in California, Facebook founder and Dobbs Ferry native Mark Zuckerberg expressed his condolences to the family of a Cleveland man whose death was posted on the social media site on Easter.

High School Art Salon

Pelham Art Center is proud to continue its annual exhibition featuring exceptional student art with the High School Art Salon, on view April 6-21, 2017 with an opening reception on Thursday, April 6, 6:00-7:30pm, free and open to the public. The exhibition will highlight artwork by students in advanced art classes from seven local high schools: Dobbs Ferry, Fordham Preparatory, Mamaroneck, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Pelham Memorial, and Scarsdale.
