Alum Named As Head Softball Coach At Concordia College

Concordia's Director of Athletics Kathy Laoutaris announced Monday that alum Jamie Lorenzo - Class of 2011 - has been promoted from assistant to head coach of the college's softball team. An Eastchester native, Lorenzo was a graduate assistant coach in 2012 before being elevated to assistant coach, where she served for several years before her latest appointment.

Steer For Student Athletes Commemorates Graduates At Annual Gala

Steer for Student Athletes is hosting its third annual spring graduation banquet at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester from May 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Steer provides funding and support services to help underprivileged athletes. The organization uses "Steer Advisors" who are responsible for tracking their needs to allow them to achieve success, from college prep to helping them with the SATs.
