Judy Garland’s Remains Moved From Hartsdale To Hollywood

The remains of Judy Garland, most famous for her role as Dorothy in "Wizard of Oz," have been moved from a mausoleum at Ferncliff Cemetery -- where she had been ensconced since 1969 -- to Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, according to multiple news accounts. The transfer was made because there isn't enough space at Ferncliff Cemetery in the Town of Greenburgh for Garland's three children and grandchildren to be buried alongside her, People reported.

The transfer was sought by her daughter, Liza Minnelli, because Garland's previous burial place did not have room for plots for her children and grandchildren to be buried with her, People Magazine reported on its website.
