South Salem resident Robert A. Ettlinger, who grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson, died on Thursday, July 19 after battling cancer. He was 57. He was a proud co-owner with Bobby Robustelli of A&A Auto Clinic in North White Plains and was a much-loved member of the community.
William McEvoy of Norwalk, a popular intern minister at the First Unitarian Society of Westchester in Hastings-on-Hudson, died suddenly on Friday, March 16. He was 52. Born in New York City to Aloysius William McEvoy of Hanover, Pa., and Linda Callahan of Bethel, McEvoy grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens and lived most of his adult life in Brooklyn. For more than 25 years, he worked for the Guilford Press in New York City.
Beloved teaching assistant Brinn A. Salvatore, 33, of Carmel, formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson, died on Monday, Sept. 4 at Westchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Manto thoroughly enjoyed the seashore, tennis, Yankee baseball, reading on her kindle and spending quality time with her family. Mrs. Manto is survived by her three daughters, Mary Manto, Barbara Adams and her husband Steve, and Diane Forte and her husband Louis; grandsons, Brian Corbett, James Corbett and John Forte, all of Hastings-on-Hudson.
Jeanne Rodriguez Schiller, a teacher in the Lakeland School District, died at her Mohegan Lake home on Wednesday, March 1, after a long illness. She was 48. Prior to that, she had been a special education teacher at Greenburgh-Graham Union Free School District in Hastings-on-Hudson.
