Police: Credit Cards, Designer Handbag, Cash Stolen From Bedford Vehicles

Police in Bedford are investigating a series of auto vehicle larcenies that saw a burglar make off with luxury items and cash from parked cars overnight. Last weekend, police said that a number of items were reported stolen from unlocked vehicles parked on Bishop Road, Pinebrook Road and miller town Road in Bedford, as well as on Mount Holly Road in Katonah.

Elevated Lead Levels Discovered In Bedford Water

Bedford residents are being warned that high lead levels have been found in the water in some homes in the Consolidated Water District, town officials announced Monday. The district, which provides water to parts of Bedford Hills and Katonah, have lead levels above the Department of Health action level of 15 micrograms of lead per liter of water, said the town's Department of Public Works Water Division.
