Nor’easter Nightmare: Monster Storm Headed To Larchmont, Mamaroneck

The Winter Storm Watch for Westchester, Putnam and Rockland issued Saturday in advance of the major Nor'easter expected to arrive in the area on Monday night was upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning late Sunday afternoon. A Blizzard Watch has been issued for Southern Westchester, New York City and Long Island, meaning there is a potential for falling and/or blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities.

Westchester Man Last Seen In Mid-February Remains Missing

New York State Police are seeking the community's assistance as they search for a schizophrenic man that went missing in Westchester County last month and may require medical attention. On Monday, state police issued a "missing person" alert for 52-year-old Joseph A. Bodai, who was reported missing from Larchmont on Feb. 17. He was last seen wearing a puffy jacket, green shirt and blue jeans with black and red sneakers.

Greenburgh Librarian Shares Her Cultural Journey To Hemingway’s Cuba

Librarians Nancy Coradin and Diana Lennon will give a talk on their trip to Havana, Cuba, with a focus on American novelist Ernest Hemingway's time there, Thursday, March 23, at the Larchmont Public Library. The visit offered them access to current Cuban literature and provided a bridge to connect and engage with Cuban librarians to discuss libraries, their services, their history and their future, according to a release from the Larchmont Public Library.

Village Of Larchmont Named In Palmer Avenue Contractor Dispute

Larchmont's business district is looking a lot better these days after dozens of new trees were planted, lighting was improved and benches were installed for weary shoppers to rest on. It is also more accessible because of the sidewalk, curb cut and road improvements made as part of the village's $2.7 million Palmer Avenue Streetscape project, which was completed last year.

New Rochelle High School visual arts students participated in the regional Mamaroneck Artists' Guild program, "2017 Young Artists on the Rise" and were honored at a reception at the MAG Gallery in Larchmont on Feb. 1. The Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee announced that its annual "Shamrocks & Hearts Dinner" Benefit will be held at the Larchmont Shore Club on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 7- 11 p.m. Valerie Moore O'Keeffe, the 2017 Grand Marshal, will be honored at this annual Sash Presentation.
