Mamaroneck Declares Snow Emergency Due to Blizzard Forecast

With as much as a foot of snow expected to hit the region, officials in Mamaroneck have declared a snow emergency that will be effective as of 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the state is anticipating that between 16 and 20 inches of snow may fall in the lower Hudson Valley, with more than a foot coming to upstate New York.

Coalition Says Mamaroneck Clean Water Repairs Require $800M From State

Town leaders, union officials, conservationists and construction executives stood together Wednesday to call for additional funding for what they say are "critically needed clean water infrastructure projects" in Mamaroneck and New Rochelle. According to a statement from town Supervisor Nancy Seligson, the group met to discuss upgrades to the wastewater and drinking water facilities and the need for work on underground pipes and culverts.
