New York State police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman wanted on numerous charges including trying to cash a stolen check at the M&T Bank in Mohegan Lake. On Aug. 29, the suspect, driving a black Hyundai Santa Fe with New Jersey plates, that were also stolen from Linden, N.J., attempted to cash the check that was reported stolen Aug. 25 from a car in Wayne, Pa.
The arrest came about when police responded to the area of East Main Street in Mohegan Lake when an erratic vehicle was reported about 6:25 p.m. Monday, police said. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of 1296 E. Main St. and conducted a traffic stop, police said.
