Police: Man leads officers on foot chase after traffic stop

A New York man was arrested on a host of charges after he led officers on a foot chase early Monday morning following a motor vehicle stop, police said. Eric Henry, 31, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., was charged with interfering with an officer, possession of a controlled substance, assault on a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Montrose Man Stopped For Speeding Facing Multiple Drug Charges

Three Westchester residents were arrested for heroin, suboxone, and marijuana possession after the vehicle they were driving in was stopped for speeding on I-87 in upstate New York on Saturday morning. The driver of the vehicle, James D. Tobin, 27, of Montrose, and his passengers, Thomas Johnston, 48, of Valhalla and Taniah D. Cousins, 21, of Mount Vernon, were found to be in possession of heroin, suboxone film strips and marijuana after the stop, which occurred around 9:36 a.m. in Bethlehem, just south of Albany.
