Mount Vernon Man Arrested For White Plains Bank Robbery

A registered sex offender from Mount Vernon has reportedly been arrested in connection to a December bank robbery in White Plains, where a suspect made off with nearly $4,000. A multi-agency law enforcement investigation led police to Columbus Avenue resident Marcus Long, who was charged with a felony count of first-degree robbery after he allegedly stole $3,900 from KeyBank in White Plains on last year.

A Freeze Warning, issued by the National Weather Service, is now in effect for Southern Westchester from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday as temperatures drops to around the freezing mark.
