A new separation agreement has been released that pays Dr, Michael Smith a severance of $187,000 along with his compensation and benefits through the end of June - the board has agreed to pay out the final year of his contract.
Arrest reported in stray bullet killing of Mount Vernon teen
Police have made an arrest in the death of a Mount Vernon eight-grader who was killed by a stray bullet while riding home from basketball practice. The Journal News is reporting that a spokeswoman for Mount Vernon announced the arrest on Monday but said further details on the arrest would be provided on Tuesday.
