The event was held at the Surf Club on the Sound in New Rochelle, NY, with nearly 330 guests and over 55 sponsors.

MBK New Rochelle Hosts 2nd Annual “Take a Student Ambassador to Work Day”

While thousands of students joined their Mom and Dad at work last Thursday, 46 New Rochelle High School students traveled to 16 different workplaces as part of the Second Annual "Take a Student Ambassador to Work Day," an initiative pioneered by My Brother's Keeper New Rochelle and designed to piggyback on the national Take your Son or Daughter to Work Day. "Our high school students had the opportunity to interact with engineers, doctors, lawyers, judges, investment bankers and professionals in the tech, music, marketing and insurance fields," says Camille Edwards Thomas, a House Principal at NRHS and co-chair of MBKNewRo's Ambassador Committee.

New Rochelle Hires Marketing Firm To Tout Redevelopment

Marino, a New York communications firm founded by a Westchester native and former aide to New York City Mayor Ed Koch, has been selected by New Rochelle city officials to help promote economic development in New Rochelle, city officials announced. Marino, with offices in New York City, Boston and Los Angeles, was selected after city officials put out the call for proposals for firms to help build awareness of downtown revitalization efforts in New Rochelle, spurred by a 2015 agreement with RDRXR for a downtown redevelopment for new office, retail and residential space.

A good friend returned recently from a yard sale with a stack of old LPs, phonograph records from the 1960's and 1970's. On the back of each of them is an interesting inscription: A quick visit to google finds a long list of this company's recordings, including 8 Track tapes, and this: "The Longines Symphonette Society was a direct marketing company working out of Larchmont and, later, New Rochelle, New York.."
