New Rochelle’s Girls Volleyball Dethrones Champs to Win Section 1 Class AA Title

The New Rochelle Girls Varsity Volleyball team became the Section 1 Class AA champions today after beating the defending champs, the Ossining Girls Varsity Volleyball team, in a dramatic, first-ever Sectional Title win. After a somber defeat in the first set, the Huguenots came back tougher than ever to win three consecutive sets, snatching a victory from the jaws of defeat.

New Rochelle Championship Soccer Squad Celebrated By High School

The team won the 2016 State Championship in November when it defeated Fairport High School 2-1 for the New York State Class AA title. "The road has now been traveled, and our flag planted," said head coach Jarohan Garcia at a celebration that drew students, faculty members, fans, district administrators and county and state legislators.

CNR Claims First Victory With 93-87 Win Over Saint Elizabeth

The College of New Rochelle men's basketball team earned the program's historic first victory on Tuesday night with a 93-87 win over visiting College of Saint Elizabeth. It was the Blue Angels first ever home game at the Wellness Center and they gave the crowd lots to cheer about.

Mamaroneck High Pumped Up For Soccer Playoff Match Against Clarkstown South

Mamaroneck High School's soccer coach and varsity captain said the team is pumped up for Tuesday evening's opening round playoff game against Clarkstown South. The Tigers' home field soccer playoff game was pushed back to 6 p.m. due to another home playoff match at 3 p.m. Oct. 20 between Mamaroneck High's field hockey team and the Ursuline School of New Rochelle.
