Sincere Smith Pleads Guitly to Manslaughter in Death of Trevon Boswell

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Sincere Smith of New Rochelle pleaded guilty Thursday to Manslaughter in the First Degree, a class B violent felony, for the killing of Trevon Boswell in Mount Vernon in May 2017. Smith was indicted with co-defendants Eric Lee, Allen Copeland and Leroy Garcia.

Ozone Park Man Sentenced in Hit-and-Run Death of Tow Truck Driver on i-95

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Anthony Mangano of Ozone Park, NY was sentenced in the hit-and-run death of a tow truck operator on I-95 in New Rochelle in December 2016. Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit sentenced Mangano today to the 12 months already served in the Westchester County Jail.

Students Admit To Stalking That Led To Fatal Stabbing Of Westchester Teen

Two teenagers have admitted to their roles in the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Valaree Schwab in New Rochelle earlier this year. Dominique Slack and Carl Booker have both pleaded guilty to first-degree stalking, a violent felony, for their roles in the incident that led to the fatal stabbing incident of the teenager.

New Rochelle Man Indicted for Murder of Homeless Woman Outside Naval Armory

Jose Olmos, 29, a homeless man living in New Rochelle, was indicted and arraigned for murder in the death of a homeless woman outside a vacant armory building on Main Street. A Westchester County Grand Jury indicted Olmos on three charges: Murder in the First Degree, a class A violent felony, and two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, also class A felonies, in the beating death of Nurten Seljuk July 27, 2018.

Eric Lee, 26, of Mount Vernon pleaded guilty to Murder in the First Degree in the death of Trevon Boswell and seven other charges in connection with a twelve-hour violent crime spree that began May 21, 2017. The series of violent robberies spanned several jurisdictions including Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Yonkers in Westchester County as well as parts of the Bronx.

A 46-year-old man who allegedly manipulated metal roll-down security gates to break into Westchester food marts and steal thousands of dollars is facing a host of criminal charges. Longtime High School Principal In Westchester Announces Sudden Resignation

Following the resignation of Schools Superintendent Brian Osborne earlier in the summer, New Rochelle High School Principal Reggie Richardson has announced his resignation, effective in August. Richardson will leave the New Rochelle School District on Aug. 20 after announcing his intentions to join the New York City Department of Education.
