Discussion about a roundabout in Ossining grew even more heated as Mayor Victoria Gearity condemned comments that veered into threats of gun violence. The Village of Ossining is pursuing the roundabout, which would be funded via a $500,000 bond at the intersection of Main, Spring and Brandeth Streets and Central Avenue.

Potent New Storm Will Bring Rain, Damaging Winds To Ossining

Thunderstorms forming in an unseasonably mild air mass in advance of a strong cold front could produce damaging winds Wednesday afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Statement. Ossining High School students have spent weeks tinkering with and tweaking the creations they hope will win them the chance to compete in a worldwide robotics competition. The team, which calls itself The Ossining O-bots, called on its members to use all their scientific, engineering, technology and math skills to make the robots it will enter in the Hudson Valley Regional FIRSTA competition next month.

Westchester's Industrial Development Agency has issued preliminary approved incentives for two rental apartment projects in Ossining with a total private investment of $118.25 million, County Executive Robert P. Astorino recently announced.
