$80 Million School Renovation Plan Detailed At Port Chester Meeting

Residents of the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District will be able to learn details and ask questions about an $80 million school renovation project during a public meeting on Wednesday evening, March 8. District spokeswoman Caryn Furst said Wednesday’s event also will feature the music of the Port Chester High School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Mike Miceli. Port Chester taxpayers are being asked to approve the school renovation bond issue on March 28. The project involves extensive work at five of the district’s six schools.

No Leads on Missing Larchmont Man

Larchmont and New York State Police are investigating the disappearance of Joseph A. Bodai, last seen in Larchmont Feb 16. Police say he may have been traveling to Port Chester. Joseph was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket, green shirt, blue jeans and black and red sneakers.

Metro-North Customers May See Afternoon Delays On New Haven Line

Metro-North customers traveling on the New Haven Line in the vicinity of the Port Chester station may experience slight delays on Monday afternoon during their commute. On Monday afternoon, the MTA announced that New Haven Line was experiencing delays of between 15 and 20 minutes following reported police activity.
