Lawsuit Claims Richard Gere, Bedford Post Inn Withheld Employees’ Tips

The Bedford Post Inn, which was owned by Pound Ridge resident and actor Richard Gere, withheld tips from employees for years according to a lawsuit by a former caterer reported in lohud.com. The lawsuit, filed Jan. 16 in Westchester Supreme and County Court, states that the inn assessed a mandatory 22 percent service charge for catered events and banquets since January 2011 and failed to disclose it to more than 40 affected employees, the report said.
