Indian Point Consolidates Emergency Operations To Fishkill Office

The emergency operations office primarily responsible for the safety at the Indian Point nuclear power plant will be completely moved to Fishkill by 2018, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. While the site currently operates one emergency response team at the Buchanan-based power plant and another about 20 miles away in White Plains, both offices will be consolidated into the Fishkill office, which is to be located at a Merritt Boulevard office complex - less than 10 miles from the site, according to the Journal.
