A White Plains, N.Y.-based firm is the fifth electricity retailer to announce plans to compete for residential customers in PPL's service territory. The scheduled announcement today by ConEdison Solutions is part of a new wave of competition in the electric retail market in advance of the lifting of PPL's rate caps at year's end.
