A Westchester man is heading to prison after pleading guilty to strangling his neighbor to death bat last year over an ongoing dispute. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Thursday that Karmel Mills of Yonkers has been sentenced to a term of between 17 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to strangling his neighbor, David Pinnock, to death.

Yonkers Starts Process Of Taking Waterfront Land From NYC

The City of Yonkers wants to purchase the land as part of its plan to develop around the Hudson River, but Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano said they got nowhere in talks with New York City until they threatened legal action. Yonkers plans to file legal papers to allow the Industrial Development Agency to buy the land, located at 59 Babcock Place, which has blocked previous development projects.
