A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged Tuesday after the Humane Law Enforcement Unit of the SPCA and Yonkers Police say he stabbed an eight-month pit bull in the back. Deshawn Williams of Yonkers was charged with animal cruelty.

A Yonkers dog owner has been arrested on animal cruelty charges after he was evicted and abandoned his puppy to fend for itself in the empty apartment.
