A "sizable amount of marijuana" and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash were seized in Pleasantville following a lengthy investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies in Westchester County, according to a police spokesperson. Washington Avenue resident Ronnie Bordin, 60, was taken into custody at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday by officers from the Westchester County Police Narcotics Unit and the Yonkers Police Department following the investigation by a county narcotics task force.

More than two dozen alleged drug dealers and 400 bags of heroin and other drugs are off the street following the "Operation Trick-or-Treat" bust in Westchester, authorities announced Tuesday. A Westchester drug kingpin who had $50 million worth of heroin seized by the DEA is heading to prison for his role running an extensive narcotics operation. Bridget Brennan, New York City's Special Narcotics Prosecutor announced this week that 49-year-old Jose "Hippie" Mercedes Sr. of Yonkers has been sentenced to 14 years in state prison, followed by five years post-release supervision for possession of more than 150 pounds of heroin.
