Golfer sued for throwing golf club, hitting woman in the head

In a lawsuit seemingly ripped from the script of "Caddyshack" a Manhattan man having a bad day on the links in Westchester threw his club at the ninth hole - and hit another golfer in the head. Now Mary Touhey, 55, a Yonkers gym teacher, is suing Daniel J. Schapiro, 33, over the alleged September 2017 incident at Dunwoodie Golf Course that left her with a broken nose.

County Executive Robert P. Astorino will join in honoring the achievements of 58 senior citizens from throughout Westchester at the 34th Annual Senior Citizens Hall of Fame Awards Luncheon on Friday, December 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown. This year's program, one of the largest to date, names dedicated veteran and Yonkers resident Jack Lotz as Top Honoree.

To sit all through seven Rocky movies, you're going to need the eye of the tiger and be ready to fly high now. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic boxing franchise, the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers is screening all seven Rocky movies on Dec. 3, starting at 11 a.m. Six of the movies, including "Creed" will be screened in 35 mm.
