A 71-year-old Pleasantville man was killed in Yorktown on Thursday afternoon following a single-car crash that saw him travel nearly 100 feet into an embankment on the Taconic Parkway. At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, 71-year-old Pleasantville resident Anthony Giorgio drove off an embankment on the Taconic, striking a guard rail near southbound exit 13 , before traveling approximately 75 feet into the woods, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.
