Hundreds of Iranians gathered Friday at Tehran Cinema Museum to celebrate Asghar Farhadi’s recent Academy Awards win for best foreign language film. In his short speech, Farhadi said the film was not a pre-planned project but, he added, ” was not supposed to be made at all.

Matt Lucas, one of Britain’s most recognisable and well-loved entertainers, has received a degree from the University of Bristol – 24 years after he started studying drama there. “This is something I never thought would happen,” Lucas said after receiving his honorary Doctor of Letters degree yesterday [16 February].
