Marathon men from West Suffolk

It is marathon season and four West Suffolk men are among the many thousands nationwide busy training for their big day. Matthew Kennedy has signed up for the Cambridge half marathon on March 5 while Martin Hayes and Mike Wright have devised a full 26-mile marathon route to complete on April 1 and Daniel Richards is preparing for the London Marathon on April 23. “I could not do it,” he said.

2016: Key Biscayne residents conquer Miami Marathon

In what might best be described as seminal life experience, a handful of Key Biscayne residents recently ran the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon, overcoming the wind and the cold of a South Florida winter morning to achieve an accomplishment they will no doubt remember for a lifetime. One-by-one they crossed the finish line amid the music and mayhem produced by a roadside DJ and supportive family and friends who clapped and yelled encouragement as they watched a wave of everyday people accomplishing their goal one amazing story at a time.
