Scott Darling held the fort then, but Semborski filled a vital role – and the Chicago Blackhawks wanted to show their appreciation.

Blackhawks’ goalie Crawford hopes to play Friday
Before going to bed in a Philadelphia hotel room on Dec. 2, Corey Crawford felt like he was coming down with the flu. When he woke up the next morning, though, team trainer Mike Gapski and Dr. Michael Terry quickly deduced something more serious was happening to the Blackhawks’ starting goalie, and they rushed him to a nearby hospital.
Hawks win 4-1
It took 34 games — and 74 shots on goal — but Duncan Keith finally scored a goal for the Blackhawks this season. The timing couldn’t have been better, too, as San Jose was dominating much of the second period, but Keith’s rocket tied the game at 1-1 with 3:11 left, and the Hawks went on to claim a 4-1 victory.
