Tesco Chairman Regrets Saying White Men on Boards Are Endangered

Tesco Plc Chairman John Allan backtracked on his comments about the disadvantages for white men in corporate boardrooms as critics urged greater diversity of the retailer’s directors and some shoppers said they would boycott the U.K.’s biggest supermarket chain. “The point I was seeking to make was that successful boards must be active in bringing together a diverse and representative set of people,” Allan said Saturday in a statement on Tesco’s website.

Methbot’ scam wreaks havoc on digital ads

A cybersecurity firm says it has uncovered a massive online scam that employs an army of automated web browsers to siphon millions of dollars of advertising per day away from US media companies and brand-name advertisers. The firm, New York-based White Ops, has dubbed the operation “Methbot,” because of references to meth buried in the computer code underlying the scam, and says it is the largest and most profitable fraud operation yet to strike digital advertising.
