The brainchild of Christian Patouraux, a Belgian-born, Sydney-based entrepreneur with a 22-year career in satellite projects, the Kacific Broadband Satellites initiative owes part of its success to the equity funding efforts of boutique Wellington investment and advisory firm, Caniwi Capital, which has helped raise more than US$20 million in equity for the US$147 million project.

A resolution introduced in the U.S. Senate on Tuesday aims to roll back privacy rules for broadband service providers that were approved by the Federal Communications Commission in October. Replacement of Skype

I have recently changed my ISP and although for the first week or so I was getting good Skype service , I now find that Skype is audio is disjointed and virtually unusable. I have updated my audio drivers and been advised by my new ISP that their protocol doesn’t support Skype and that they can enroll me for a monthly fee to their own VoIP protocol.
