Westchester Man With Beer In Backseat Busted For DWI, Police Say

A Westchester man is facing a pair of charges after being busted driving with empty beers in his back seat and a blood-alcohol level nearly double the legal limit over the weekend. A Scarsdale Police Department sergeant conducting DWI patrol shortly after midnight on Friday, June 15, stopped Elmsford resident Jose Jesus Mojica, 42, on Fenimore Road, near the intersection of Walworth Avenue, after he allegedly was spotted swerving over paving markings in the roadway.

County Board of Legislators Chair Benjamin Boykin Announces Committee Chairs

Newly-elected Board of Legislators Chairman Benjamin Boykin White Plains, Scarsdale and West Harrison and BOL Vice-Chair Alfreda Williams Elmsford, Greenburgh, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, have announced a redesigned committee structure for the 2018-19 legislative term. The Westchester County Charter mandates that the BOL maintain two specific committees, the Budget and Appropriations Committee and the Legislation Committee.

Alleged Prostitute Arrested In Scarsdale, Police Say

A 48-year-old woman was arrested in Scarsdale last week when a routine police inquiry determined she had a warrant out for her arrest for allegedly prostituting out of Elmsford. According to a Scarsdale Police Department report, while investigating suspicious activity shortly before 6 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 on Post Road, patrol officers came into contact with Bronx resident Stephanie Womble.
