Brookfield native killed by drunk driver

A town native and undergraduate student at Manhattanville College was laid to rest Wednesday after he was killed by a drunk driver while walking near the school early Sunday morning. An official with the White Plains Police Department said Robert Schartner was walking back to the college around 5 a.m. on Sunday when he was struck by a Nissan Sentra driven by Rye, NY resident Emma Fox .
