Nope, his name isn't Nathan, but the grandson of the "Original Nathan," tells all about the famous dog and the history behind America's favorite frankfurter during an appearance at the Scarsdale Public Library. Bill Handwerker, the grandson of the "Original Nathan" will discuss his book, "Nathan's Famous: The First 100 Years of America's Favorite Frankfurter Company" at the Library on Sunday, March 26, at 2 p.m. In "Nathan's Famous," Handwerker celebrates his grandfather's entrepreneurial spirit and his legacy in creating an American institution.

The music may have been a bit low but that didn't stop the enthusiasm at the Scarsdale Athleta store Sunday, Jan. 15 when Tao Porchon-Lynch, known for being the world's oldest yoga teacher, took to the floor. The 98-year-old and her dance partner Anton Bilozorov, of Hartsdale's Fred Astaire Dance Studio, dazzled the crowd with their moves -- and in Porchon-Lynch's case, her three colorful dance outfits.

Violinist Elektra Kurtis-Stewart Plans Performance at Scarsdale Recital

Violinist, educator and composer Elektra Kurtis-Stewart will be the featured artist at Hoff-Barthelson Music School's HB Artist Recital Series on Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Greenville Community Church in Scarsdale. Kurtis-Stewart will be joined by members of the ensemble PUBLIQuartet in a program of original compositions, interpretations and improvisations of romantic virtuosity, world music flair, and cutting-edge modern sound, according to a release from Hoff-Barthelson Music School.
