Town centre road to go traffic-free

Tarrant Street will be closed to cars every third Saturday of the month, coinciding with the farmers’ market, beginning on March 18. From 10am pedestrians will be able to explore the shops, galleries, restaurants and bars in a relaxed, vehicle-free area. Train driver ‘verbally abused’ by passenger who entered his cab at Bognor station

Transport police has confirmed it is investigating reports that a train driver was verbally abused by a member of public, who reportedly entered his cab at Bognor Regis station. In a statement a spokesman for British Transport Police said: “An incident was reported to police following an altercation at Bognor Regis station this morning, Monday, after a train driver was verbally abused by a member of public.

Aldwick venue SeaFish ceases trading

A statement posted on its Facebook page said the venue had been ‘the home of live music and the arts in Bognor Regis through 2016, but is sadly no longer trading’. It added: “It is hoped however that the vision and ethos of SeaFiSh will emerge elsewhere soon, with many if not all of the brilliant artists we’ve witnessed participating.
