Singer Rihanna is presented with the 2017 Harvard University Humanitarian of the Year Award by Allen Counter, director of the Harvard Foundation. It wasn’t Rihanna’s singing, but her caring and giving that was recognized last week when she received the 2017 Harvard University Humanitarian of the Year honor for her philanthropic efforts aiding adults and children around the world, according to the Associated Press.

Apart from India, the Asia leg of the tour comprises Tel Aviv in Israel and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, according to promoters of the tour White Fox India.

A century-old retail building for sale in the heart of Napier’s Art Deco District, was once home to renowned Gaiety Theatre and Top Hat music venues Bayleys Hawke’s Bay and Bayleys Auckland are jointly marketing the historic building, at 88-94 Dickens St, which will be auctioned on March 8. The property for sale is featured in Bayleys’ latest Total Property portfolio and comprises a 1430sq m two-storey building on 911sq m of land zoned Inner-City Commercial. Bayleys salespeople Paul Dixon and Carolyn Hanson describe the building as “a cultural treasure”, noting potential future uses may include retail, apartment and office space.

The Metropolitan Museum of Arts Extends the Museum Workout

The acclaimed Museum Workout will be extended with new dates added in February and March. Part performance, part workout and tour, The Museum Workout has been called “reverential,” “unconventional,” and “thrilling” since its premiere on January 19. After the sold-out performances ending on February 12, there will be additional dates on Monday, Feb 27, through Sunday, March 5; and Tuesday, March 7, through Thursday, March 9. All performances begin at 8:30 a.m. at The Met Fifth Avenue.
